course to play in/around San Marcos,TX ?

I'll be heading down this weekend to Boerne, but my GF has to work a few hours sat. morning so I figured I'd get some golf in while she worked.
I see several courses on the PDGA sight but thought I would ask as I'll only have time to hit one probably.

If you are in Boerne, there is a awesome 9 holer.

In and near San Marcos there is Texas state and Steeplechase in Kyle about 10 minutes north of San Marcos. Texas state is a great course but it is hard to navigate if you are not playing with a local. Kyle is an awesome course as well
