I am planning summer trips to both Brooklyn and Toledo. What courses in these areas should I visit while there?

I think your outta luck in the Buroughs...Mt Kisco probably the closest....I hear it's worth the trip to Warwick though. Check the directory. Ohio....well, I have no clue...somebody will though. Again, check the directory.

Peace
For Toledo courses go to http://tadga.com/community/. Besides that In Adrian Michigan (not too far from Toledo) there is a decent course at Heritage Park. Flat very open course. But still some fun holes. Best time to play at Heritage though is when the bean crops are in. Check out http://www.adriandiscgolf.com/

Hell screw Toledo and Just come up to Ann Arbor Michigan and play the local coures around here. We have Hudson Mills (original and monster), Bandemer Park, Mary Beth Doyle Park
formerly called Brown Park (still in the making), Plus soo many more. http://www.a3disc.org/
I've played in the Toledo area many times. Ottawa is a fun city course with lots of big old trees to navigate around. There is also a course in Vienna Park in Temperance Mi. just a few miles north of Toledo that is worth the trip.
i will second that ohio, ottawa park visit. i played there a couple times. its on the wrong side of town, but its a decent course, they have an ace pool always on hole 16, youll see why if you golf there. nothing too long, i hit basket on 3 the first time i went.
My thanks to all who have replied, this will help me plan my trips.
I have actually played this course, but not a course with baskets if thats what you are looking for.

But then again you are playing Disc Golf in NYC and that is pretty sweet if you think about it.

Its like a scavenger hunt to try to find all the holes but if you print a map its not to hard to find all of the holes. You should definitely check it out if you have the time.

I live in Brooklyn and let me tell you- Baskets in the city, yeah right. Although there is a object course in Prospect Park. I have never played it because that park can get full of people.
The people that designed the course have a nice web site. details about each hole and where they are located. check it out.

I generally play golf at Campgaw , NJ or Rutgers University.
Let me know when you come out here and we can go to either course if you would like.
Please forgive my ignorance I have only been playing about four months. What exactly is a object course if there are no baskets?
That's how the sport started - throwing Frisbees at objects like trees, poles, trash cans and benches before baskets were invented. There are still courses out there where you hole out by hitting an object like these instead of landing in a basket.
Dosen't sound as though there are many courses around Toledo. However I have relitives around there and probably won't be able to get away with a trip to Ann Arbor. Maybe I can get them to come and play also. Never can tell.

My son and his family moved to Brooklyn about a year and a half ago. Don't know when we will be back, however I do know my wife and we will be back to see the grandbabies. I will keep you in mind and hopefully take you up on your offer.

BTW Could I get away with just a couple of discs?
