I've been playing for some time and ultimate before that so I think I know just about every way to throw a disc, but I have no idea what the term scooby refers to.

(((((ANNNNNNNTTT))))) Thanks for Play'n...Johnny tell'em what he's won!!!
Where's Belli? He throws that shot!
A pancake shot is not a scoobie shot. Never was and never will be.

This is a perfect example of why it is so hard to have a disc golf vocabulary that everyone can understand. You can point out how shots got their names over 30 years ago, and even have a World Champion and Hall of Fame player explain it correctly, but everyone still wants to believe some amateur from a YouTube video.

I saw it on the internet, so it must be true!

Hopefully Mark Ellis will back me up on this one. He is Old

school.
Nice use of blank space. :-)
Scooby , for myself and what I have seen , is a certain way to throw the Disc , Backhanded , over the throwing shoulder.

Seen guys usually throw what is called a " Scooby Roller Shot ". Same result as a back handed roller.

Not a Pancake shot , Grenade shot , Two finger sidearm or standard sidearm.
.... so whats a scooby... lol
It's an organ in the body that is no longer needed. The medical field is unsure of it's use, but they assume at some point. As man developes, it will no longer be present in the human body..........
And always remember...Once it leaves your hand...It's on its own! ©
