The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Had a random thought tonight as I prepped my bag for tomorrow's DG outing...if only we had cleaners out on the courses for our discs the way they do on golf ball courses. I always appreciate being able to keep my balls clean and pristine out on the golf course. It would be awesome if there was a way to do the same for our discs on a DG course. Thoughts?

bring a little squirt bottle of cleaner then.
Will it work for poison ivy??
I could picture something like this. Could be easily made. 2 brushes bolted to a bucket that can be filled with soapy water.
Classic stuff! LOL.
That is what I was thinking...with the brush-mats that you see at football and soccer fields for cleaning cleats....something like two of those...cleaning solution, etc....
Since disc gold courses generally have no money I'm not sure how that would work. I think that you need a unit that is portable that you could take with you. And then of course a disc dryer would be awesome. I would love to have a disc dryer for snowy days.

Like the dyson hand dryers!

I think this is a GREAT idea. My Wife thinks I am a Fruitcake cause I wash all my discs about every third round. If this happened, I wouldn't have to get ridiculed around the kitchen sink!
i used to wash my discs every now and then but now i don't. i wipe them down with my towel if they get dirty while i am playing but that is it, no soap and water washing. I feel like they have a better grip to them when they haven't been washed, for whatever reason lol. now if the disc decides for itself that it wants a bath and ends up in the river or the lake on a hole then that is a different story

When this gets invented, it will be one more distinction between free and pay-to-play courses.

Now, I'm going to go ruin a toaster with soapy water.

Thats about how I feel, a little dirt does not hurt the grip and at times can help. as for mud wipe it on any grass that might be around you then hit it with the rag and good to go! And if you play ball golf just wash your balls when you get home!
