Being new to the sport I've only a few discs most of which are Innova and a few Discraft discs.  Is there really much difference between the brands?  Does everyone have a preference?

That is GREAT ADVICE Norm! Just don't let your Wife catch you...

I got a Package in the mail the other day and it was a Beat UP Star Beast I had got from eBay for like $7. My Wife saw me unwrap it and yelled, "You didn't PAY for that did you?! It's all Beat Up Already!!!!!"

I said, "Yessssss, It IS! Now I don't have to take the time Breaking it In! Someone did it for me!!"

She didn't think that was a good answer... Lol. :)

LOL, that's funny!

That is funny, Jeff! Bless the women in our lives as they deal with our addiction!

I think my wife got a little upset when she found out I spent more on my buddies for Chritsmas than I did on her. She'll get over it, eventually.

...think it's time to go to Jared!

new disc company?hahaha joking.

liked your advice with this question And your advice on the Vibram earlier when we all posted.

definetly nail down the "open" time for the hole in wall disc store.Larger sporting stores are just selling merch unless they happen to have a disc golf employee that can help.

The "Throw Shop" run by Ben Calhoun might be able to help, they're the b&M store located on the home page just to the left side of page.

The "candy " store here in Florida is ClearwaterDiscGolfStore.Com.Check them out, plus 2 others;SunKingDisc golf and DPS.

SunKing is really only 3/4 ride from my location so that's a no brainer for my choice.

DPS,DiscPlayerSports is a member on this site and posts quite often.

Mix bag includes: Innoava,Discraft,Gateway,ABCDiscs,Latt64,DiscMania,Millenium,Lighning and recently Vibram.

Mark Ellis usually has clinics{Discraft} and is posted here in discussions.

Not sure where your location is compared to the other michigan locations, check them out.

last but not least, welcome to one of the better addiction you'll encounter.Enjoy, hit chains.

Thank you.

Yes ! I perference Ching Legacy and Discraft Buzzz - SS for Midrange. These two's, seem to have a good grip. Most of the courses I played are 9 holes. Just, do your research before you buy a disc. I, use to buy this and that one. Now, I buy what will work for my throwing style. Good luck.

Thanks.  I've just been buying whatever lately because I don't really know what works best for me.  I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually.
