Disc Golf carts

I made a disc golf cart out of a baby stroller.If you have one tell us what you made it out of.

Nice cart! I'm going to be building one this winter for tournament rounds.How does it roll?I thought I would use a ball golf cart, because on the big wheels.

I'd have taken off the extra wheels in the front, don't they get annoying?

take it from someone who has a wallaby style bag and pull cart. pull carts suck !! unless you have a totally flat course they are a pain to pull around and a distraction to the game, i used mine 4 or 5 times and loath it, i totally recomend a bag and quad shocks over a pull cart, also the wallaby style like mine, if you try to put to many discs in the pockets, they end up bending your discs in the middle over time, by the way if anyone is interested i will sell mine for $70 dollars they go for 150 on ebay with the cart, i would prefere pu as i am not sure how i would ship it.

Every once in a while I'll see someone with a home-made disc golf cart. From what I've seen you need a pretty flat course (like DC said) or it needs to be 4-wheel drive LOL. It pretty much had to be dragged or carried through a majority of the course. It's was pretty comical to see the cart roll away while the guy was shooting. These distractions didn't win him any supporters.
I like the idea of it. But it would need a little fine tuning to fit this game.
We had the idea to use a 'Segway' to zip around a flat course. How cool would that be?

Well i'm going to get bigger wheels on the back and then put one wheel up front . what i like about it is i have a seat already on it it has a cup holder for my water a pouch so i can put stuff in it like my minnys and score sheets pencils i have taken it to a rugged type course and had no probs it even has brakes on back wheels

Here is a pic of mine, I also made mine from a baby jogging stroller that I found on Crag's List for $20. This was my second cart, the first a built from a 2 wheel bag cart, I have to admit I never built this cart to carry my plastic, hell plastic is never heavy enough to worry about, but BEER, BEER on the other hand tends to weigh quite a bit and I got tired of carrying that and the bag. Great thing about this is cart is that it can carry two coolers or two bag if need be, great for large groups!

I've made several disc golf carts, easily, out of regular ball golf carts, by adding a support and an open basket to the upper bag support. My disc golf bag sits in the basket at waist level (so no bending over for discs) and is easily lifted out and slung on my back for hill climbing. Without the bag the cart weighs practically nothing.
For counterweight and convience I strap a small bucket to the lower bag support. This bucket can carry Ice and beverages on courses that allow that sort of thing, or a stool, umbrella, etc., but mostly I use it to gather trash.
I used two large angle iron (shelf brackets) bolted together with the basket bottom clenched between. Then these brackets can be bolted, clamped, or otherwise attached to the frame of the cart, and provide ample support to a thin basket. My first basket was purchased as a sliding basket/drawer, and I spent too much for it. Try an old freezer/refrigerator basketdrawer. They are probably free, and bigger than other baskets on the market.

Larger tires help !!!! Not designed for Mountain like courses or swamps.

The best one I've seen,had a seat incorporated ,so when you stopped you could sit .The seat was part of the frame,no folding just sit down,nice for tournaments.
