The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

On Saturday, June 19th at 10:30am at the Kensington Metropark Black Locust disc golf course (Milford, Michigan), Play It Again Sports is hosting a Free Disc Golf Skills Clinic.

A daily park pass costs $5 per car and a daily pass to play the disc golf course costs $2 per player.

I have been recruited to conduct the clinic.  All are invited to attend.

Kensington Metropark is located off I-96 in Milford.  Use the Kent Lake Road exit (#153) and enter the park.  The disc golf course is the first parking lot on the right.

This sounds tempting, Mark. I'm free that weekend and I could use the help. I'm sure it's worth the 2 hour drive from Battle Creek.

How many people usually show up?
If some how I can talk my boss into letting me have the day off or switching shifts with someone I'll be there.
There is no way to guess how many might attend. In the past we have had between 15 and 50 but Play It Again Sports is promoting it through their stores, which will be a new experience for me.

PIAS likely would prefer greater attendance. That would be fine with me. On the other hand if there are fewer it allows more personal attention, which also fine. This will be the first clinic I have done without a particular theme. I will see how many players we have, what level they are at and adapt to their needs whether they are basic or advanced.

It would be great if some tournament players showed up to help with individual instruction for beginners.
Wish I could make it, would prolly be the best $7 a Disc Golfer could spend......
I think theres a good chance I will show up. Can't miss out on a good clinic.
Ill be there i need all the help
Thanks to Play it Again Sports for sponsoring the 2010 Amateur National Championships. They donated 100 custom stamped Z Buzzz's which were won by players and spectators in Lizard games. Thank you.
what is Lizard games???
sounds awesome... are they advertising?
Hmmm, I intrigued now! What are these Lizard games!?
Clinic Update.

We have additional instructors who have volunteered to help! Big arm throwers Jamie Mosier and Eirik Kauserud, who can show what a shot looks like from a right-hander (Jamie) or from a left-hander (Eirik). And another Pro has joined, Ben Lengel.

Now if any participants show up we can have a real clinic!
Is there somewhere to sign up by chance? I'll totally be there but I haven't been involved in the disc golf scene (playing 2 years just not involved) and could really use some help/guidance to the whole thing. How could I get some help or have some of my questions answered?

Also really glad there will be a lefty there.
