What are your plans for promoting Disc Golf in this up and coming season? To many of us the season never ends, just the year, but many of us on here are diehards. How do we infect the casuals and others who have never played the sport with our passion for the game? Are you planning on running for a board or club position? Perhaps you are a TD, or helping plan tournaments, maybe even trying out the new Super Class format to attract more female and beginner participation. Are you proposing or building a new course in your community, revitalizing an old course? Sometimes it's as easy as getting involved with your local club, going to some meetings, helping with course maintenance, participating in work days. There are so many ways to get involved in the sport and help grow it. I am just curious what some of you have up your sleeve, or if you have not been involved maybe this is the year you get your feet wet.
This year I hope help a few TD's and learn some of the ins and outs of all of the work that needs to be done, so I can hopefully become a TD in the coming years. I believe that in this recession disc golf will become a more popular recreational activity and the presence of people that are trying to help new players will make it more attractive. I know when I started playing the good promoters, helpful (pro, master, am) players along with over excited TD's and club members really got me interested in playing at the next level not just anything goes casual rounds. Beter players offering me to join them, offering helpful tips and the occasional free disc to try out (as many new players carry one or two discs that are often the wrong one for their skill level). So let's hear your plans and ideas.
