Disc Golf Story on National Public Radio

Hey, I've been wondering why "It's Only a Game," the weekly NPR sports show had not previously covered disc golf. I contacted the folks there and recommended a story on it and explained disc golf back in the spring. And on last Saturday, they spent 10 minutes on disc golf! (My messages to them may have had no impact on this decision, I have no way of knowing, I'm just glad they did it.

They focused on the Vibram Open. You can find a link to the hour-long show which has disc golf in it here. And you'll find a photographic slide show here. You'll also recognize some of the characters in the slide show!

Please share this very widely, as I am sure someone will be noticing the hits on the NPR story and slide show!

Nice job starting this up! Disc golf needs people like you to promote the sport.

I think it's great to see the sport getting coverage, but I was a little disappointed with the stories overall tone. The only "tag" it was given was "wacky sports," and it was described in such a way as if it was a joke. That's my impression.
