Is there a minimum disc size for PDGA approval?

All seem very standard in general

I still think that they should make "junior discs" that are maybe three fourths the diameter of a regular disc. They could be approved for kids under the age of say 12. I am pretty sure that there is some standard size for the "normal" discs that we all throw.

Well there are larger discs

the Te Moko from Aotearoa is 235 mm as an example

If I am not Mistaken, WHICH I MAY BE, the discs SIZE have to be in a certain Proportion to the Discs WEIGHT to be PDGA approved. Since MOST people use discs in the 150-180gm weights, they are all Fairly similar in size. I believe. I may be wrong......

http://www.pdga.com/files/documents/PDGATechStandards_61510.pdf says:

"(3) not be less than 21 cm in outside disc diameter, nor exceed 30 cm in outside disc diameter;

(4) not exceed 8.3 g per cm of outside disc diameter;

(5) not exceed a maximum weight of 200 g;"

Most popular drivers and putters are the minimum diameter allowed under PDGA standards ( Challengers, Aviars, Wizards, Nukes, Surges, Bosses, T-Birds, etc.).  The maximum weight for a disc depends on its diameter so all these common discs have a max weight of 176 grams.

Some popular midranges (Buzzz's, Rocs) are bigger than the minimum diameter and therefore allowed to weigh more (178-180 grams).

I much prefer 150s, even less on a calm day
