The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Well I have been in China now for 3 months and of course noone has heard of the sport. No courses to speak of so far. But I press on. I am teaching English in Chengdu China at the moment. Every time in my class when the subject of sports come up, when I have to teach on the subject I give them homework to look up discgolf and explain the rules to me in the next class. Now I notice that there is not a Chinese language link here for my students to look up the great sport of discgolf without reading in English. Hopefully someday there will be a Chinese language link here so I can use the sport more in my classes.

Hurry back bud I need help beating Pat!
Do you still want some discs sent? if so I'll try to get them out this week!
The Chinese are really digging American products and culture these days.....it's a freaking gold mine over there.

Company's like Wal-Mart are killing it....particularly Sams Club.
Cat's income over there went from about a half a mil per year to the billions in just a few years....Pizza Hut, KFC moving in....Capitalism is raging in Communist China.

GM...sucking wind here.....over there....it's likely what's keeping them afloat.

You might be sitting on a gold mine of your own.....import discs and baskets... knuckle down...and see where it goes.
1.2 billion chinese right? that's a lot of potential discer's. set up a deal with Innova, make a few zillion dollars. :)
Plus Wham-O has Chinese ownership.
Get some Frisbees and make an object course for the students.
This is how it all began...
i can see it now..... cheap mass produced chinese baskets made with mercury steel and lead contaminated plastic discs for $1.50 a pop.
I find that hard to believe with how big the sport is getting and how many people are there. I think the others are right, if you're going to be there for awhile, build a course and see what happens.
