The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf
I do. I need to get outside and feel the sun so that I don't feel all cooped up and crazy. It is only supposed to be about 35 today but I don't care. I am layering up and heading out to play.
During winter each day that I can play seems like a bonus because I just don't expect to get that many rounds in.

Permalink Reply by Jim Coonradt on November 8, 2011 at 12:54pm I always tell myself that I won't be going out to play much only to see that the sun is shining and I feel the need to get in the car and drive twenty minutes to go play. Oh well. A friend and I moved baskets yesterday so I want to get out and play the new positions. They are supposed to be the "winter" positions in case we can't move them until spring.
I am also glad that we decided to institute a Sunday morning league last winter.

Permalink Reply by Nate Nasty on November 8, 2011 at 3:27pm yes. gotta get outside and stay connected with the earth. I get exited for winter changes, many good memories of cold-weather golf. Routes open up and so does the course. plus, i acclimatize faster if i golf often. so many benefits to year round golf
Permalink Reply by Jim Coonradt on November 8, 2011 at 3:45pm I had on a shirt, fleece, and an outer windbreaker today and it wasn't that bad. I was able to throw quite well and the sun kept everything toasty. You never know what you will get for winter here in Colorado. It could be 50 degrees or it could be below zero, windy and snowing.
As my friend said, the crappy weather here brings out the idiots, morons, and butt nuggets (I have a few other words for them). One group let us play through today and then started throwing at us. Idiots.
I work outside year round,so i might as well golf year round also.Loved it when i lived in Florida, but those August days were sometimes just as bad as Illinois in Feb.If you practice and play in adverse conditions your mental game gets a work out.Disc golf is just as much mental as it is physical.imo.
