51 is alwasy in effect for me. Only on the card I'm playing on though. Even with an acepot, just makes it a little sweeter, in fact we do another deal, when there is an acepot, ace-for-a-case is in effect as well. Before the person who hit the ace can claim the pot, he has to go to the store and buy a case of beer. What if he has no money? He can then take an advance against the winnings if he must. What if he doesn't drink beer? Well, that's just his sad misfortune, he shouldn't have hit that ace then.
We play 101. It's 50 times better, lol!

I found out about the 5-1 long after I hit my one & only ace. Nobody gave me any cash.
I've paid out on a couple aces now myself in the hopes that I will hit another one in front of my whole d.g. club (or a stadium full of 5-1 believers) & I'll be rich!
P.S. Our payouts are as follows: $5.00 ace, $2.00 chains & $1.00 metal ("521")
Always pay 51. even with ace fund. Also pay 51 if I see shot on another hole. It's karma. Every ace I hit, everyone in the group has paid. Most have the money flying out of their pockets before your heart slows back down.
Hey Mark, why is this called a dot??? (Scoring right?)

I pay the $5 for an ace because they are rare but really I have more respect for a park job deuce. I don't pay for dots ( I guess a double dot on the drive) and don't take money for dots.
51 Is Played Every Round In Houston. Get Nice Pay Outs When Your With A Group Of 10.

No idea. I don't know where it came from or who invented it. But compared to jingles it makes lots of sense.
My first club back in Washington, Bellingham Disc Golf Club (1996), we all new and expected that anyone that hit an ace when there was a big pot would buy at least a half rack (12 pack).
yesterday while exercising my freedom of park usage and lessons with the big boys Coda Hatfield aced hole 8 at blackhawk in tulsa, i didnt have a fiver and asked him if he had change he responded i will in a little while as we all expect to get 5 for an ace we should expect to pay 5 for an ace.
it was a fantastic shot and he knew it was golden out of his hand, beutiful hyzer with 1 skip into the chains and stuck.
