The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

There are a LOT of threads about driving distance so I have a question for the community.  If I consistently throw my drives 250' is it reasonable to expect there to be a disc out there that will instantly give me more distance?  Will switching from a max weight to a 150 class give me distance?  Will buying a "faster" driver give me more distance?  Will working out and increasing muscle mass increase my body weight?

Thanks,
John

Yes-Maybe-Yes

I like throwing 150's but i found that they are a lot more inconsistent. On a good throw, a 150 will give you a lil more distance but like i said they are tricky. If you want to get 150s, go with more overstable then you usually throw
You know how when you are starting a stubborn lawnmower you end up putting a full-efforted full-pull on the cord by stretching really far with your arm and then turning a little to the side at the end to start the lousy mower?..

That full-arm-stretch, loose-but-strong pull is really a great place to start....

walk backwards towards the basket then pull a big, long stretch of a throw...
NUKE....lol...just practice your form and technique out in a field and throw all of the discs in your bag as hard as you can and go from there....
Do it the easy way. Steroids.

Just kidding...
lol. It's difficult giving one driving advice without seeing him or her throw. Could be lots of things: grip, snap, footwork, incorporation of hips, etc. I found that faster, lighter footwork and concentrating on my hips increased my arm speed and yielded D.
