question... if you put a bead on the rim of a Drone would it make it even more overstable? Like a Wasp compared to a Buzzz?

Maybe, but then it'd be too much plastic to produce at heavy weights I think.
isn't the drone ALREADY PERFECT?
perfect... yes, would a more overstable Drone be sweet as well.... yes

i love the drone, the only thing MORE overstable in my back is a Z Xtreme, dude, that thing is SOOOOOO overstable. i dont think i would have use for a midrange more overstable than a drone. i rarely use the Xtreme.
This may be a stupid question, but is the Drone that great? And if so why? I hear lots of talk about it, but what makes it soo good. May pick up a used D plastic one to try out.
Well, first do not get a beat in one to try out. either a new one, or in my opinion find a FLX Drone only because you want to see the true overstable potential of the disc.. The reason why they are so great, or at least in my opinion is because of how much snap you can put on it, and know that it will always hyzer, and almost never flip. Some people may not like that, but i think it makes it extremely reliable. I'll get my Buzz and wasp to go about 270. with my Drone I'll only get about 220 because it wants to hyzer so much, but I know where it will go every time.

Shawn -
did you see the thread on the limited edition Worlds 2009 Z-Drone at sunkingdiscs.com
here's the thread http://discgolfer.ning.com/forum/topics/zdrone-exists
oh yes. I'll keep working on not throwing the FLX I have on the ice before I get another. It looks like the Z might be a normal run too. That would be fantastic.

i have 2 blue FLX drones and i ordered a Z drone, cant wait.
hey all you drone lovers, threw an esp zone yesterday for the first time....feels great in the hand, especially for forehand approaches, very clean release. encourage anyone to give it a try....I like it so much, it may replace the drone in my bag(repeat may). played in 10-25mph gusty winter wind yesterday and it handled it well. The Zone slammed nicely into bucket on a blind 100 foot approach for miracle two after terrible drive! now that they are making regular production runs of the esp zone, this may become my go to stable mid range. I am trying to minimize limited run discs.......
replace the Drone? dems fightin' words.
the drone has reduced the number of mid range discs i carry.... altho i still carry a meteor the drone has pretty much replaced the rest of my mid range bag. I keep a crisp D plastic Drone in the bag, but in my opinon nothing beats my beat up "flippy" drone... i put flippy in quotes because it is not flippy like a buzz or meteor it flipps but then comes out of it hard!.... the drone is pretty much better than sex (that last part is a lie)

I do not really like FLX plastic but now that i here there is a z drone i will probly buy one.... (it will probly stay stable longer and i love z plastic)

next i want me a zone....
