Each day someone his an Ace, let's hear about them

Somewhere out there in Disc Golf land someone hits an ACE.   Here is where you can tell us about it.  What disc was used?  How long was the hole? Did it pay?  Where you in a casual round or league round?   Just some fun with those who get lucky or good.

 

To start it off, yesterday, Sunday, 2-21-10, We  were playing best shot doubles from the B-pads. Throwing a 169 Star Destroyer, I hit hole # 1 at Tuscawilla Park, Daytona Beach, Fl .  The footage is around 276', I think, long basket placement. The ace pool was at $178.00, but before the round was over another ace was hit on hole # 11, and we split the funds.  Keep em flying.  GB #554

This was 3 days ago, Friday night out at Arcadia. (Fort Worth) i walk up to hole 3 with a headwind. 317ft pretty straight shot with water on the left. With the headwind, i pull out my newest boss (175 Pink champ), wind up and throw a big heyzer straight in the middle of the chains. I hear the ching, and go crazy when i see the disc in the chains still.

I aced Sunday. I called the shot, but I always call the shot on that hole so it had to happen one day. It was a short 180 foot alternate hole at Chickasaw Trails in Tishomingo, MS. It is a heavily guarded wooded hole that has a very narrow lane for normal shots. Just so happens there is a perfect lane for a slow tomahawk skip shot and that is what I did. Disc turned slowly and skipped off the pine needles twords the basket. I didn't see it go in but my buddy did. The disc was a champion 11 time eagle that is awesome for those types of shots. The disc will not be retired because it may be my favorite and best utility disc.
