The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

The other day, my wife and I had and argument and she stated that playing disc golf 3 times in a week is excessive. WHAT?! I defended myself with," it's inexpensive, fun and I'm outside getting exercise. I'm not spending money at a casino, downloading porn, playing an online game for hours or taking part in any other self destructing behavior. So what's the problem?"
To make a long story short, I didn't win the argument.
Anyone else have this problem with your significant other or family member?

Is giving up your body for the sport excessive?

Yesterday I was playing with Eirik and Jeff the Farrier (that may not mean what you think it means).

Farriers have some balls. I have taken a few kicks to the dome doing that. Granted, I suck at it, and should never do it. I'm better on the horse or wrestling calves. Not shoeing.
What else would "Farrier" mean, unless he thought that some would think it was being used as a comparative.

But SPORT is meant to be a safe place to make RISKS. Now PRO SPORTS is a little diffident. Look at BOXERS who stay in the RING TOO LONG and end up Punch Drunk from Brain Damage. That's a career choice and was compensated by earning a FEE. For amateurs in any sport we do it's for the OVERALL benefit of good health.
Now if a person lets say GOLFED Once a WEEK, went Bowling Once a Week and SWAM once a week would that be considered EXCESSIVE? I don't think so, Three times a week is a good number of times for everything but Love Making.
Yes, all the time. If you're like me, you'll most likely get nowhere trying to figure out why the complaints keep raining down. Just remind her that daylight is fading and she will have plenty of time to spend with you over the colder months ahead.
Oh, now you know why I am single.
One day I will meet a woman that is passionate about disc golf.
This is the only one solution I can hope for.
For you, perhaps you can get her involved, otherwise.....
