Also check out Discraft on you tube (Mark Ellis). I know this sounds like a cop out, but there are so many ways to putt and there is no wrong way in doing it. It just comes down to finding what works for you and then practice, practice, practice.

Permalink Reply by Boom Boom Dino on February 12, 2012 at 4:11am I'm not a great putter but sometimes when there are big putts to make I make them ........ for me it seems to be just trusting the putter you're using and making sure it gets out of your hand without hinderance .... in the summer when it's hot and humid it helps for me to dust up before putting ... meaning grab some dry dirt and powder the hand ... get rid of the moisture ... then when you putt make sure you release the disc cleanly .... open your hand like a flower opening up and set it sailing to the chains, no drag and no hooking on any finger ... right to the tub ... a clean on track getaway.

i would say, dont copy anybody else style or obcess over advice.just let the body figure out its own form.get a basket and figure it out.

Ok, if the issue is your getting the disc to high in the air or lobbing it. I would suggest getting your upper body in front of you feet. This would make it harder to throw high as it would feel unnatural. other suggestion would be angle of thumb, your putter is going to fly at the same angle as your thumb. So by changing the angle of your release so that you thumb is points slightly downward, the disc will be released with a nose down effect and will want to get out of the air quickly.
Permalink Reply by Nate Nasty on February 13, 2012 at 2:50pm some like to pinch the putter between there thumb and pointer finger, some like to wrap their pointer finger under the rim of their putter, some like to have their pointer finger be the last point of release on the outside (the side) of there putter... try em all. the key is... consistency and sense of control
