first tournement!

playing in my first pdga tourney this weekend. a spyke hyzer tournement. pretty excited and will be nervous as time gets closer. any tips for this newbie?

What WD said! Also get there early to just chill and soak it in. I like to bring my own food so I don't have to leave at lunch time. Finally, bring stuff to make yourself at home.....chairs, cooler, basket, radio etc... then just have fun!

Stay true to your game. Play the course, not the other players in your group. Look and listen to the others on what they are useing for each Hole. A great player is alway learning to improve on their game. Just remember, you are playing against yourself, not others.

Play for par!! If you have a bad drive play for bogey!  Most players are going to be making mistakes so try to be the one who makes the least mistakes and you will do well...... most of all enjoy hanging out w/ the people in your group and have fun. :)

Play for par, thats the best way to win. If your outside your putting range lay up. If you make a bad shot, forget about it and come to the next hole with a fresh mind. Don't keep track of your score as it will mess with you game to much. Thats what score cards are for. Most of all enjoy it and take in all the fun.
