The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

As i write this a very bad thing lurks ahead of me.
As of today i have five days left until i undergo a fairly major back surgery.
I'm going to get spinal fusion to fix my scoliosis, something i cannot be that mad at because it is something that needs to happen.
However, i will be unable to play disc golf for 6-9 months, as far as i know right now.
I hope i will retain some muscle memory in this time.
I have only been playing for 6 months but have jumped from a bad am4 player up to an am3 player competing for cash.
Has anyone come back from such a long recovery time successfully???
Also, during this time i am going to start my own disc golf retail company. One like huk lab, or dynamic discs.
My company will be called Amity Disc Golf.
Amity means peaceful and friendship, i think disc golf brings people together from all walks of life for a common love.
I will be starting off with 50 putters and 50 minis give or take.
I will have my own stamp on them, a peace sign with a tree and sun behind it, i know hippy stuff.
So, this has only been kind of a ramble but hopefully you will all wish me luck, and as soon as i can walk i will be out at the courses and hopefully you will buy my putters.
I will have about:
20 wizards
10 voodoos
10 magics
10 warlocks
50 minis
Message me and i could put some aside.
Thanks in advance for the words of advice i know ill receive.
Peace, love and disc golf.
Nolan

good luck.
Just hope everything goes well and hope your playing again soon !!
Good luck, Nolan. Tell the Doctors you need a bionic back.
thanks alot
and yes, hopefully they will be able to hook me up.
Good Luck!
I don't know about playing after back surgery. I had a total hip replacement January 20 of this year. I was always worried that I would hurt myself while throwing and that affected my game. I started praticing in the backyard while I was still on crutches and was playing on the course while I was walking with a cane. Granted all I could do was stand and throw, but I was still playing! Now I am playing better than before the surgery (not that I was ever all that good). Now the PAIN is gone!
Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
Best wishes in both ventures, I'm sure you'll come back stronger and better.
Im with Mr. Ellis on this one go for the bionic back!!! Good luck bro
lol... Don't you think a bionic back should disqualify you from tournament play? If not I'm getting bionic everything and am going to be the first person to be a professional athlete in every sport including disc golf.
Nolan,
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I will take 5 minis..if you would. Take care.

Good luck man. Reminds me of when I had tendonitis problems from playing guitar. Couldn't play for 4-5 months...it was a drag but everything works out in the end. I could very well be interested in a Wizard, Warlock, and maybe even some minis. Any pics of the artwork? Take care.
good luck man. god bless. send me a pic of those wizards and i might take 2.
hey now,speedy recovery and best of luck with your disc retail buisness.Peace;^}
