If you have both shots in your arsenal how do you choose which to throw??

Is it better to be great at one or okay at both?

If you don't have consistent forehand shots then maybe try going to the field and throwing one hundred forehand shots. See what works. Start it low.
Depends on the wind, course design, and footing.

If there is a crosswind from right to left I will go to a forehand. If the course is designed so that I need to end right I will use a forehand and if its really tight I will throw forhand, if there is sketchy footing I will throw forehand. For all other conditions I throw backhand. Overhand if I need to get up and over objects.
