Hole 2 Huntington Beach* which was between 415' and 430' with some challenging trees and/or topography is now a 'pitch and putt'  250-ish open hole.  City reps made them change it for safety reasons.  I guess the handful of "disc to melon incidents" in the last year or so are playing out now.

The current short location is temporary, but it does suck out loud.  And apparently, the hole won't be put back in either old position when all the smoke clears.

Bummed...really was a challenging hole.  And though it ate my lunch more than I would ever care to admit, it was a fun one.

Hole 6 is gonna get modified as well but the changes there don't seem as bad.

Wow that sucks, I love this course. Its solid and a change to hole two is huge. Hope they get creative and think of a way to make this hole challenging again, like adding a large 20 foot mound or pyramid, or putting it on the side of the hill way up, or something. Bummer for sure.

You a psychic lion? ;)

Plans are to put it about 300 out and halfway up the slope

hole 6 is getting moved about 50 feet east and it will be on a pyramid

All preliminary...don't quote me

Bummer !!!!  I liked that hole.
I was the first feller to birdie the new temporary hole...but it's so short now it made for a pretty hollow victory...

Our group hit the teepad just as they got it in the ground.

Sad.  That hole was just fun to get out there and rip it on.

Indeed...

If I made it to the 325' 'corner' or better on my drive, it usually meant a good round was coming.

I could be wrong, but I have been told the 2nd permanent pole hole course in the world was installed in Philadelphia...Sedgeley Woods Disc Golf Course in Fairmount Park.  Either way, total bummer that people were getting hit in the head because of the design.

Uh...ok...neato

I'm just going by the local signage/folklore...whether right or wrong it isn't that important to this thread.  Suffice to say they're both old dg courses.

Looked it up

Oak Grove Pasadena 1976

HB was installed in 1977

Sedgley Woods got their poles from DGA in Summer 1978

And now that we have that cleared up

Moving hole 2 @ HB still sucks
