Help getting disc out of water.

We have a temporary course with some really cool water holes. I am planning to go out in the next couple of weeks and try to get some of the discs back. I now a lot of people would like to have them back. The water is mainly about 2ft deep and I have a pair of chest high waders. I was planning to go out with a regular rake and try to get some back. the bottom is apparently covered in about 6 in of duck poo. I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions or ideas on how to get them out that would be better. Thanks!

go fishing w/ a retriever, you will find plenty of random plastic,.Ive seen ppl put them on fishing poles too

the two end teeth and bars were cut off after this pic. this thing is a beast. if you make a rake shoot for lighter metal but not too light b/c you'd be surprised what the bottom of a lake can do.

lot of bike parts as you can tell. the teeth are cut up bike tire rims.

I have a retriever. It works but for just one disc

That is a comparison between a garden rake and a combine!

They both have a use...they both do the job they were designed for well for sure. But its apple and grapes!

Personally I use a 4ft. Fishing net I purchased at a sporting goods store for the intended use of fishing, but has come in real handy for retrieving discs from shallow ponds/creeks in the area, have even scored myself a few unmarked/unclaimed discs.

On the course that I play the lake/pond has a really rocky bottom and I have found that retrievers don't work very well, any suggestions?
