Boom Boom's sounds similar to the original baskets in Riverside DGC in WA. They took a tire and cut one of the sidewalls off. Placed the other part of the tire on a piece of plywood (tread and sidewall were now the basket portion) Then the sidewall only portion was drilled to another peice of plywood. Holes were drilled around this portion (it became the top of the basket) The chains were attached to the top with eyelet screws ( not sure if thats the propper name, but they the screws that one end is bent into a circle) At the bottom end, they were draped into the basket and bailing wire was run through the last chain eye and then wrapped around the pole. Also they used a 4by4 instead of a metal pole. It was easier to secure the basket portion that way (I think) They just put a 2by2 "sleave" around the 4by4 approx 3' feet up and then just slid the basket portion down onto that. Thats about all I can remember about it. Hope this helps.
We just made several over the last few weeks. Contact Homer Clark on here and he can help you out.
