Just watched a video of Nate Doss talking about keeping your bag simple. How much plastic is too much?

Here's what I carry:

Drivers:
1 Excalibur Headwind distance and big hyzers.
2 Wraiths Normal condition/tailwind distance.
1 new Predator. Headwind control driver and control hyzers.
2 TeeBirds. Everything driver. One stable, one kinda beat.
1 Beat Orc. Former main driver is now my headwind roller.
1 Monarch Distance roller, long turnovers.
1 beat XS. Strong tailwind roller, controlled turnovers.
1 Flick exclusively for thumbers since I like keeping my Pred stable.

Midrange:
1 Champion Shark. Stable midrange.
1 Beat Glow Roc Turnover midrange--soon to be replaced by DX Shark.

Putters:
1 soft Wizard--main putter
1 glow Wizard holds a turnover better.

I also want to replace the champion Rhyno that I lost and add an overstable midrange--discraft needs to release an ESP drone : ) I have also been toying with the idea of adding a fairway driver like a TL, Leopard, Impact, or XL. I'd probably still be carrying a Rhyno and XL If I hadn't lost them this summer. Both were ace discs : (

It seems like I'm carrying a lot of different molds, but taking anything out of my bag seems to leave a hole in my repertoire of shots.

What do you guys (and gals) think? What do you throw, and how do you find a balance between keeping it simple and having a disc for every shot?

I carry 17 discs. Mainly due to practice needs, and the fact that if I do not, they all fall over in my bag.
My bag is super small.

Star XCaliber: Headwind
Star Wraith: Long Distance Straight
Star Destroyer: Long Distance Turn Left
Star TL: Long Distance Super Straight
Star Roadrunner: Long Distance Turn Right
Star Teebird: Fairway Turn Left / Skipping Disc
Star Leopard: Fairway Turn Right
Star Gator: Midrange Turn Left and Right (Forehand Flick)
Star Rhyno: Putter

In my opinion I would drop your Orc since the Wraith is a faster version of an Orc. Also drop the Sharks and keep just a Roc. Maybe drop a putter, you could use the Roc as a putter/approach. But thats my opinion.

I used to have a disc for every shot, however, as I started learning more of the game and started developing a variety of shots (hammers/thumbers, skips, forehands), the amount of discs I carried started to go down. It finally got reduced to what you see above. Hope this and everyone elses response helps you out.

I almost exclusively use my Orc for headwind rollers, so it fills a different need than my Wraiths. I should probably just carry one Wraith since my Monarch flies a lot like my "broken in" Wraith. I like the way Sharks fly better than Rocs. I'm going to stop carrying the Roc and just carry 2 Sharks. The Shark makes a reasonable putter, but it is not as workable on the shorter approaches as my Wizard. (I use my Wizard for most shots under 230' and some shots up to about 285')

My forehand game is really weak, but my UD stuff is coming along. I probably should lose the Flick and just use Preds. I think I will add a fairway driver, but I'm having a hard time choosing one. Leopards break in to be good tailwind and control rollers so that's the direction I'm leaning.
Too much to sit down and type out everything.
I some how carry them all around only to throw a select few.
Wow, I should give a few away to some in need!!!
