How's everyone's Gold Line plastic holding up?

My Fuse and Vision (both GL) started out as discs that predictably turned to the right. Now I have to hyzer them no matter what and the angle of hyzer depends on how much i want it to turn. forget about hyzer flips that end with a nice fade - they just turn no matter what. A flat release dives.

 

I know Latitude 64's plastic is some of the nicest and most durable on the market, but how's the stability doing on your Gold Line models? How about Opto?

I have had a gold line core for over a year now. It has hit lots of trees and still flies like it did when it was new. My opto line core hasn't seen enough action yet to find out if it will change but after about 3months of use it still flies like it was new.

Yea, the plastic isn't gouged at all, but they just don't seem to have the same glide they did at first because of the understability. Might just be because they supremely understable. Thanks for your input though.

I've been throwing an Opto Core since 2008 and that thing still flies about the same as it did new and it sees more action than any other midrange i throw. Just starting throwing a Goldline one about a year ago and it is holding up well also.

 

The Fuse and the Vision are both suppose to turn over. If you don't want something that turns may want to try something different. I tried a Vision out and that was the flippiest disc I have thrown. Turned into a roller when thrown flat.

 

Try a Flow. It bombs!

This is most likely the case. The Fuse and Vision are just a little too understable for how hard I am throwing them. They both have their uses, but I think I'd be better off getting another sidewinder (lost mine a couple months ago and bought the Vision in replacement).

 

Thanks for your input on the Vision. Glad I'm not the only one finding this disc to be extremely flippy - so much so that I don't think it's gliding the way it should.

GL is good river , havoc , flow are my main drivers . my pain rolled off the cliff two weeks ago so i tried a opto pain and it was just not right . the pain in opto is less stable then the pain in GL . weird sometimes you think your going in one direction by switching plastic , only to find out you went the other way .

Thanks for your comment. What types of shots are you doing with those 3 as your drivers? Can you turn em over and how is the speed?

the river is my main driver , it's a little slower than the rest , and i can turn it right or left . RHBH the flow is my down hill driver strait to right . ( sometimes too much right ) and the havoc is for head winds that i can big arm it without flipping . havoc is the fastest , but the new bolt is right up there in speed , but is less stable .

Awesome! Thanks a lot. Good to hear a little review on the bolt too. I'm interested in all those discs now ha ha. Gotta love that Lat 64. Do you have any experience with the Striker in comparison to the River?

i have an opto striker it is faster than a river and a little more stable , but like the riot it has a rounded inner wing that i don't know if it messes with my head as much as it does with my grip . so for consistence control i stick mostly with my main drivers .

i actually enjoy the convex wing of their modern drivers. the fuse has this also and some others. i also got the teebird + mold and it produces a smoother release for me.

 

i hear so many different reviews on the striker that i'm not sure what to think. some say it's like a teebird, maybe a bit faster, and from what i've seen, it's more of an actual driver with more turn. you say it's faster than your main driver, so where does it fall in?

 

anyone that wants to share how their striker gets used, feel free to chime in!
