I have a second job doing the PA announcing for the local minor league baseball team. They had an 11:00 am game today as a kids day, so I took a vacation day from my full-time job. After the game I had the afternoon free, so I decide to go throw a round by myself at Begg Park.
I get out to the course about 3:00 and the place is empty except for a three guys 5 or 6 holes ahead of me. So I'm throwing a couple discs each time to get my practice in for the BCMAMS tournament this Saturday. I get to hole 11 at Begg which is a 305 foot narrow chute up a hill with alot of brush and trees on both sides of the fairway. While I'm quite familiar with finding the brush, I chucked my BCMAMS Fundraiser "Chief Irving" supercolor ESP Surge ---WAY LEFT--- and I mean way left into the trees. I've really been getting good drives with this disc (with the exception of this drive) and it took me 15 minutes tramping through the heavy brush before I said to myself "Chief Irving, I'm sorry I lost you, but I must move on." On my way out of the brush, lo and behold, there he is. I was so happy because I've been throwing this disc really well and I've only been playing for 2 months. I hope this was because of good disc karma.
I attached a pic of the disc. Contact Chad Curtis if you'd like to buy one and support the BCMAMS Irving Park Disc Golf Course project.
