What do you listen to? Do you have a certain kind of music you always listen to while playing? If you listen to different kinds of music is there one kind that helps you focus/puts you in the zone? Also who's you favorite band? And last but not least who is a band that you think is awesome but others may not be familiar with?

I just listen to the voices in my head. That's enough music for me.
my mp3 has over 70 songs on it . i like the reggae it makes me calm . and santana's "smooth" reminds me how to putt .
I was kinda wondering how the calm/heavy thing would pan out, if people like music to make them calm or music to pump them up....
when i drive ineed a clear head and just relax . if i think of something like "someone is watching me" i just throw lousy . trying a little harder doesn't do it . i'm much better just doing what i do .
When it comes to mp3, it's all random music; close to 8 gig of random; from all sources. I enjoy that more because there's something for everone . Playing on my own is different, each band that I love has there own place in different courses
I have a solid 20GB+ on my ipod.

I usually end up with Reggae music (normally bob marley or Matsiyahu).
30 gig Zune, packed to the limit. My music selection is all over the place. I haven't found any one style that really impacts me while I play.
i have over 1000 songs on my mp3 so what ever comes up...but mainly TOOL especially when im practice putting
My question to those of you that play muzak while playing DG: Have you ever heard of headphones? One of the primary reasons I and many others play this game is to enjoy the sounds of nature, not have someone else's questionable musical tastes jammed down my ears while I'm trying to drive.

Don't get me wrong, I love music and that's why I have a crapload of music on my iPod.
while it is a rareity for me - as I feel tangled from headphones and realize my tastes are uncommon- I do prefer ska.
The regge like beats sooth and calm while the horns pump me up. I also find the general underline tone of being good with being a have-not seems dg appopriate.

Some ska highlites:
East side beat by the toasters, for when I play the eastside.
175 by big d and the kids table. A song about ultimate but with a laid back feel and the word disc repeated its a perfect drive home song.
Upstanding youth and streetlight manifesto are great pre round bands.
All depends on the people I am with. I use headphones during tourney though. I use those kind that are like safety earplugs. I can have my Zune really low volume. I can still hear the guys when they talk to me. But not while I drive or am just walking.
but i rarely do listen to music during rounds unless im just having a bad day and i just need something to do
