atleast after the fire is all gone w/ everything else, there will still be baskets standing, seriously tho, hope it didnt get anyone too bad , lets hear from some ausies
Great post Jamie. I also hope everyone is ok down there. Sounds like they didn't evacuate in a urgent fasion. I can only think those guys on here had enough common sense to do so without warning if they needed.
hey now, dropped a line to Hootie from the Land Down Under around Feb 9.He's on the other side of the country involved with the wild fires,so he's safe.He mentioned the fact of one permanent course,Vic in Whittlesea, being in peril from the fires.Last count of deaths I read was around 180-200.Likewise, we had fire set by arsonist and control burns that got out of the hands of those burning back brush around the Sarasota/Port Charlotte,Fl area in the 90's.Scarry times with fire moving FAST!.Peace
Hey Guys thanks for your concerns. The fire has hit Victoria on the east coast in a bad way it is confirmed that 200 people have been killed and they think 1000's and 1000's of animals have also been killed. The fire did hit Whittlsea disc golf course but like Jeremy said the baskets are the only thing still standing they are a little black but are still there. Australia has managed to raise over $90 million from people around our great land to help those in the areas of the fires. There is one man in custody that they thing started one of the fires and they think that a fallen power line caused the major fire. The problem was people didnt have enough warning the fire was moving so fast over the hills and it took whole towns so fast.
