The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

I joined the PDGA one month and 2 days ago.. I still haven't received anything from them. They took my money immediately, but I can't get anything but a form email from them. My friend joined about 2 weeks before me, and he still hasn't received anything. Do you have this problem, or know why it is? I was told the member disc they give you is on backorder, but, if you joined the PDGA don't you already have enough discs? Send it to me later, its the other stuff I need!

I did. Thats the person that sent me the form letter. I got two personal emails from them, then a form letter.
Maybe your girlfriend hijacked it from the mailbox. I noticed at your site that you have two pictures of your dog but only one of your girlfriend. :)
In the past, a few years back when I was a new member, I remember it taking several long weeks. The PDGA has posted info that the process has been extremely streamlined to make it fast, almost immediate. I renewed my membership yesterday and already last evening received an email saying that the package was shipped, but as a renewal my stuff does not include the disc you mention being on back order. be patient, it sounds like an issue with the disc gods
My guess is that this time of year they are over flowing with people trying to join and/or renew their memberships. They most likely do things in batches either weekly or biweekly. Be patient I'm sure your in the loop. Keep throwing!
I know why it is!!!

Your new member disc is on BACKORDER. Seems pretty straight-forward to me.
thats what i was thinking
Be patient grasshopper, 1-2 months is normal especially this time of year. Chances are you will see your name and pdga # posted before you receive your package so at least you will have that for any upcoming events.
Yes.. I acknowledge that... My point is, I didn't join for the free generic disc they are giving. I have plenty of discs. I joined for everything else. And I am irritated because I am getting nothing but form letters from them. Pretty straight foward to me..
It took me about a month to get mine, but that was mid summer. It is like others have said, the PDGA has blanketed those already with an email asking them to renew for 2010. Plus it is that time of year and regardless if you need or want the disc it is part of the player package and it will delay.
I'm interested in the type of disc you are sent.
didn't get mine for almost 2 months so just wait you will get a email with your PDGA # and password
Ive seen one that is a black discraft with the pdga stamp.. I dont know for sure though
