The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

I am attending the conference of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education, a 3-year old organization that I helped to found. We expect nearly 2,000 people to attend.

I have a poster session Monday afternoon (4:30–5:45) extolling the "green" and sustainable virtues of disc golf BUT I now have to be somewhere else in the building (the convention center) at the same time! Aargh!

If you live near there and you would be willing to stand by a colorful poster during a reception and answer questions from a lot of very nice people about disc golf, PLEASE contact me ASAP!

Come on North Carolinians! Lets get some volunteers to help out this great man. I would love to do it but I will be on-call for my job so there's no way. Support the cause.
theres gotta be a hillbilly or 2 wanting to go to the big city!!!!

Just joking NC is awesome been there a few times!
Terry,

You have your man. I'll go in early to work on Monday so I can leave early to make it to the conference. Can you send me an email explaining some good points to bring up and some history behind your 3 year organization... What to wear.... and I'll do my homework. I work in Cary and drive past Raleigh to get home. It's not really out of the way.

I'm not a PDGA member but I would love to help out. I'll read up on the site so I'm not blind sided by questions I can't answer. Call me tomorrow and we'll discuss more.

Very cool, Mike. Thanks so much. We'll talk tomorrow.
Terry,
I volunteer to join Mike on the task. Have your private helicopter pick me up. I need to be back home by about 7:30pm for dinner.
Private helicopter? I thought he had a personal JET !!!!! I'm bummed.. really bummed.

I'm pretty sure he has both. But the "green theme' of this conference suggests we want to use the smaller chopper and leave the big jet on the ground. I would even be willing to swill beer from a green bottle on the way down. Ya know, give til it hurts. It's always good to set a good example for the little people.
Good man Mike. Promote us well brother.

Anything to help a great cause. Terry did a lot to get this site rolling and keep it up for free of charge to us.. It's the least I could do actually. I'll make sure I represent Discgolfersrus and the game of disc golf proudly.
Wish I was closer I would love to help you out, but I don't think the wife is gonna let me hang out with the "GUYS" in Raleigh on a work day!

Good job Mike make us proud!

And you can do homework???...and play Disc Golf?? WOW what talent!
Thanks, everyone. I have also heard from Robert Leonard, who is also going to help out. I am quite relieved!
Sweet ! That's good news. Can't wait to meet up with you and Rob Leonard. I haven't seen him in a while.
