The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Yeppers! You heard right! I'm in the market for a 190 or heavier D plastic Jaguar. The whiter and newer the better! Hell I'll even trade if I've got something you want! I'm dying to get back my old roller since my last one broke last Summer I've had to try other discs and man do they suck! :-P

Man, it's been a long time since I owned one of those discs. Great if you need a dinner plate in a pinch.

It's white but only 182 grams. 1923 in orange...

Not sure if anyone still sells these. There are a few sites that deal in "vintage discs".

Try the clearwater disc golf store.
None here at discplayersports.
Might have to dust one off in the back room.

j. carter curious if you have tried a stratus.they are made for the roller.even though they say a jaguar rolls forever like a hub cap. stratus will go along ways

  Hiyas Jim,

Yeah, I've been using Jags for as long as I've been playing Disc Golf! They work damned good as rollers once you figure them out and the heaviest ones will roll through 5-6 inches of grass for along while before the drag slows them down. Not only that but they make a GRRRRRRRREAT understable flippy driver disc that'll give you lots of distance before it turns into a roller for even more distance!! Thanks for writing!

Hey!! Wow, great Jim thanks. I've tried tons of disc golf stores online but every freaking one of them just said "out of production" when I searched for a Jag. I'll even take a used one I'm so jonesin'!! Lmao!

Hey George,
No, I remember the stratus, I think I even threw one for a while but wasn't thrilled by them. It's the extra weight that makes the Jags so much better as rollers. In the summers when the fairway grass has been growing for several weeks and you've got a canopy only 6 or 7 foot off the ground, That's when that Jag is going to make the shot! I admit it's a specialty thing but I've gotten fairly good at it even though "you live by the roller, you die by the roller" still bites me in the butt from time to time! Lmao! Thanks for the comment though!

Jim Carter

I totally understand that when you find a disc that works for you, you want to keep throwing it. Unfortunately the Jaguar seems to be quite hard to find these days, especially if you want a white one in a certain weight.

Lol, well Jim, what I said was "the whiter the better" by which I meant I'm partial to lighter colors so they're easier to find. White wasn't so much written in stone as a suggestion. The weight is important though because that's what lets those amazing Jags cut through even tall grass on the roll and helps keep them rolling in every other situation.

I admit it is a specialty thing but I've gotten fairly good at it even though, you live by the roller, you die by the roller still bites me in the butt from time to time! Lmao.

You did see the link I put up to a 192 gram Jaguar on Ebay.

Yes I did Jim and thank you. I plan to pursue the purchase as soon as I can!
