As is the usual this time of year I just unwrapped the new Innova Christmas disc and I am confused by the markings on the bottom of the disc. "SPD". Anyone know what this means?? I know the "S" stands for Star Plastic. But "PD"???? Pro Destroyer?? Piss Drunk??? Can anyone help solve this mystery??

By the way--Thank you Innova and a Merry Christmas to you too.

This afternoon I spoke with Jonathan Poole of Innova Discs, Rock Hill, SC. He told me that the SPD is a disc made for another company in Europe. It is called the Power Driver. You guys who are just one company disc players are really missing out on what else there is available. I would say that this Xmas disc will get some value in a few years. I threw mine 4 times and it turns left like most, but I am sure that the big arms can make it turn right and get more distance out of the drive.
Here's the link to the Official Innova abbreviation web site: http://j.mp/DiscAbrev

Since none of those match exactly your guess is as good as mine. My Christmas disc was a Coyote.
Disc Profile Picture ?
maybe the pd is prototype disc.
Mine seems to be a Champion Coyote (171 CY). Kinda trippy stamp and a funky disc, but always recieved gratefully!
Thank you Innova and Merry Christmas to you all here in DGRUS!!!
Yeah mine is a champ coyote
The one I received this year "09 is a yellow "champion SL"
The SL is a different version of the Starfire..... Straight Long.
Was hoping there would be a "Tribute to TIm Disc" The "SKI."
If it says "std" I would not touch it without rubber gloves.
And be sure to wash afterwards.
Last year's was a Sveedish European version disc..... from Innova.
Your Right Though !!!! Innova should have a memorial disc called the " SKI " !!!!!
I got a Roc.

I just got mine in the mail today, but it's not a PD, mine is a Pro MD-2 (Discmania Fiend midrange).

Wow you sure dug this up from the grave. I got a MD-2 as well today.

Wow someone actually went back and added to a discussion instead of starting a new one. Thank you! Wish I got a gift from innova! Lol!
