Hey, I just started throwing a thumber with a comet (thanks Ray), and I was wondering if anyone knew the innova equiv of a comet. My wolf looks fairly close...can anyone help me ?

The Comet is a unique creation. You must be a brand loyal person cause you found something taht works and you want to change it up???? Its not the same but my innova leopard holds a line almost as well as my comet but is a little less reactive every throw( hyzer anhyzer whatever ). Its faster and longer than the comet too. But keep the comet in your bag bro...great disc!
It's not anything to do with brand loyalty, I just have a ton of Innova laying around due to everyone having them in my area and giving them to me. Thanks for your help! cite="http://discgolfer.ning.com/forum/topics/innova-comet#1809917Comment1701394">

I haven't thrown a comet in a long time but from what I remember it's known for glide and control.
The Innova Kite might be one to try, I think it has similar characteristics
Jon, I don't throw my Comet with a thumber. I do know that the Innova Kite is smaller in diameter and has a built in dome to the flight plate which would probably not make it a good candidate for a thumber disc. I haven't really thrown anything that is as nice as my Comets for the control (straight, or anhyzer glide) that they offer but that is when I throw it backhand. I am sure a beat in Rock or something might fly similar, or possibly a Stingray???
The Comet is one of a kind. And wolfs are pretty bad, and nothing like a comet.
A Lighter Cro !!!
Ontario Roc.
Two words....DX Ontario ROC.
Go to www.innovadiscs.com and check out the flight chart.
Isn't that three words?

At any rate, the Ontario Roc does not have quite the glide a Comet does but it's a close as Innova gets.
Try a coyote. It has a different lip than the comet does but it flight characteristics and the dome are very similar...I throw the Comet it feels better to me.
Why on earth would you throw a thumber with a comet? I am not trying to be demeaning, I really want to know. I throw a firebird or eagle (banshee works great too) but those are for thumbers anywhere from 200-350. Shorter than that it is tough to control the disc for me.
