Innova Groove Approved-Rated 13,5,-2,2...

Just thought you might want to know the PDGA approved Innova's new creation yesterday.

Thanks for all the info on molding and plastic differences, and their affects on the flight characteristics of discs. I really like reading about the technological side of the sport as well, very interesting.

This may be a little off topic but does anyone else feel like sometimes the disc manufaturers keep bringing out new molds almost before the demand of the previous mold subsides?

I almost feel like "oh here we go again", and even though I throw predominantly Innova, I really gotta han it to Discraft and how they introduce new mid-range discs in the Ace Race each year.

I feel like at the rate Innova is introducing new molds, they are almost getting Gimicky to a point.

I bought a Boss, and I don't feel like it's completely beat in yet, and now here comes the latest, greatest driver, oh man, now I have to run out and get me a new GROOVE.

If you can throw the boss successfully, then the Groove is not for you unless you are a plastic monger. If you can hyzer flip a boss, then you will likely turn and burn a Groove. Its not gimicky, its a company being smart and marketing to people with different abilities... I'm a plastic monger though, so i'll likely get one as well! lol

when the froce came out my buddy got three of them a white,yellow, green all of them flew diff. it is discraft

Different colors are made on different days. So, there if there is a change in ambient temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, etc you might see a difference in the disc. All of these (and more) affect the disc as it is being molded and then removed from the mold. Different colors flying differently is somewhat to be expected. You would like that difference to be minimal though.

Cant dial them in so I stripped off the proto star, dyed them up and have them for sale or trade. Hopefully this Groove can produce predictable flight and if so, it may find a spot in my bag. We'll see.

Yea but they all fly the same within each individual color. I like this because I can carry a few for different types of shots.

yeah, what he said. I just got my Champ Boss in the mail, so I'll have a better idea about this Groove after I've thrown that a few times. Snow discing here I come!
