The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

This thread is for those of us who have a iphone/ipod touch/android, I have an app for you. Its called Golf Card. Its made primary for Ball Golf, however does work for disc golf. It states is compatible for Disc Golf, but I'd like to see a few more DG specific features before I will really call it made for DG. It allows you to add your own holes and consistent players, use GPS to get distance, and keeps statistics. Looks like they will be adding quite a few features to make it even more helpful. (Hopefully some DG specific ones too) I plan on adding the info from http://www.dgcoursereview.com/ for the courses I play in SE Wisconsin and upload the info to the server site. Just suggesting people check it out and maybe even add their home courses if they start using it. Try and beef up the DG community.

I use my touch for course maps and excel spreadsheets of distances on courses that don't have signs. Will have to check out this app. O yeah, for those with a ipod touch instead of an iphone, you can get a GPS add-on for around $75. I have been looking at getting one so I can use my touch for GPS in my car, sounds like this would be another reason to get it. Would be pretty nice to always know how far away from the basket I am.
I have been using GolfCard for a while. I started using it for ball golf, then when I started DG, I applied the app to it. It is a really cool app. Keeps stats, tracks distances, saves tee/basket locations. My only gripe is that it doesn't include very many downloaded DG courses. But just as Paul said, if we start adding to the server, then we will eventually get a good list going.
My friend has a Disc Golf Specific app. Not sure if it is that intuitive, but it looks pretty decent. They'll get some awesome apps out there to use before long.

Best scorecard out there. It is a little cartoony looking, but it is very easy to use. I contacted the developer of this app, and within a few weeks he came out with a new version with every change I requested. I use this for every round I do. Great App!! Check it out. just type in Disc Golf in search at the app store, or click the link.
Just got a Touch this weekend..and wil have to download the app - thanks for the link!
