The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

I think of disc golf as a form of recreation more than organized competition. There is time and place for it to be taken serious by some players. I like to compete occasionally cuz I'm pretty awesome at throwing plastic through trees.( I also believe that disc golf has a spirtual merit that exceeds either priority.)

What I am getting at is...  Should organizations cater to either recreational players or competitive players more than the other?

to me it's a little of both, rec just cause its a great form of exercise & competition because i want to better my game every time that i play a round.
Right now for me it's about hitting a $470 ace pool. Isn't that enough motivation?
show me the money.

Damn...I already said that.
Where is this $470 Ace pool? I'm always looking for a good raod trip. And a means to pay for it.
Even a rec player is playing competing against something... person v person, person v self, person v environment... there will always be an antagonist/protagonist when the game is afoot...

just because there isn't a score kept, doesn't mean there isn't competition on some level...

i rather enjoy a good walk spoiled...
