The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Do you do this?
Whenever I find a disc I really like to throw I tend to hord them. It goes beyond just having a couple backups of your favorite drivers.
I'm not really talking about collecting discs either because I do that too. But unlike my USDGC Rocs which I would say I collect, I'm talking about discs I have every intention of throwing some day.
This isn't just some new fad either, it's been happening for a few years. Case in point, I have eight to ten Cyclones that used to be my main driver, and now I don't even throw them anymore.
Another case in point, I liked the First Run Star Destroyer so much, I had no choice but to HORD those as well, now I have eight to ten of them in my stash.
CFR Augusta Wraiths, yep, you got it, six of those waiting in the wings as well.
CE Firebirds, Teebirds, and the list goes on and on.
I tell ya it's not just a collection, it's Hording and I think it might be an addiction.

Well if this is an addiction then I've been addicted for years. I do this same thing with about all of my favorite discs. I even bought 50 Pro Wraiths at one time. I ended up selling some of them and using some to trade around for other discs that I was looking for. Thank god it is still my main distance driver even though I only have about 15 new ones left.

I thought that was more of an OCD thing not an addiction;) Since I have hmmm....7 CFR Destroyers, 5 CFR Teerex X's (because I couldn't find any light ones!) and so on, and so on.. I think it's knid of the norm. You find a disc you love and your afraid they might stop production. Can you say APX swirl! God I love that putter.

i also do the same thing i recently just ordered 6 x-out pro line orcs because they dont make them anymore and they were cheap and one of my favorite drivers

Well the first step in recognizing any addiction....is excepting it....in this case...embrace it!!! ...but not in a weird way or anything like that.

HAHAHAhahahahahahahaha.......... (fading demented laugh)

Maybe... I have 4 CryZtal Z Challengers and I am getting 2 more in the next week... I guess it's just that I know they are few and far between (and the price is so right) that I have to jump on them now.

Plus when I play perfect putt I want all my discs the same!

OSD probably... it's alright though. At least I can say I have a problem!

*Hi, my names RiX and I HORD*

Yeah, every once in a while, I'll show one to my wife and say "see, I'm not that bad"

I carry 4 TeeRex's in the bag and a sack with 8 more in the vehicle (just in case). When I find them in the weights I want, I trade or buy them up. I understand the hording issue my friend, I have it as well.
