The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

I have not been playing that long and I throw mostly Innova discs but I really love my Buzzz. I bought an Elite X Buzzz because I didn't know the difference between the plastic and it was cheaper. It seems like everyone talks about the Z Buzzz instead of the X. Does anyone carry different beat in X Buzzz like most Roc throwers? Does anyone prefer throwing an X Buzzz instead of the Z Buzzz?

If you want a buzzz that will turn over get an X if you want something more stable get a Z. Z buzzz fly like a well seasoned roc and stay that way.
what does turn over mean?
turnover means that if you throw the disc flat and it holds a pull to the right (rhbh) then it is turning over
I like thems both but it like saying DX vs Champ you see they are both great but not at all the same cool huh I dont throw rocs i tried to love them but the Buzzz is a way better disc says me anywastely me ..
Is there anything wrong with an X Buzzz? Well it won't serve you coffee in the morning. :)

So like all things it has limitations.

As a sponsored player I own lots of Buzzz's and can walk in the factory and choose from thousands more. I carry an X Buzzz in my bag as well as a Z Buzzz. My X Buzzz has been beaten up over the years and is now used for straight and turnover shots.

Both X and Z are made from high tech, durable plastics sometimes called "candy" plastic. Z is pure candy and X is a candy blend. Z is translucent (you can see through it) while X is cloudy. Both will last forever (or until you lose them) but X breaks in faster.

Different plastics have different characteristics but it is not necessarily true that a more expensive disc is better than a cheaper one, especially for a particular purpose. For example, I strongly prefer D plastic (the cheapest plastic) for putters.

Both Z and X Buzzz's come from the same mold. Typically the X Buzzz's are a bit more domey than their Z brothers. Dominess is more a matter of preference based on how it feels in the hand than how it flies. I cannot predict the stableness or glide of a disc, across the board, based on dominess.

So if your X Buzzz works for you, throw it with pride.
i like a newer x for straight shot and a z for more fade
Thanks for the info guys. I will throw my X Buzzz with pride!!! Right now it's the most valued disc in my bag. Wow! Mark Ellis replied to my post. Im kinda star struck right now. You rule Mr. Ellis!
That's funny.... I got a huge grin on my face cause I read that last part.... I thought Mark was quick witted.

As for me... I've never thrown X plastic, once I found Z I was hooked... but it's something I would like to try, it's just when I go to buy a disc I am just drawn to Z plastic... it's like a drug!!! I gotta have it!!!

Good luck and keep throwning!
I'm hooked on the Z plastic too! I have two of the Z Buzzz's. One Cryztal Z SS and one GLO-Z. The SS is pretty sweet, where the GLO is not beat in, yet.

I haven't thrown an X Buzzz, but I'm sure it will be just as good for you once you get the hang of it.
