Lodge Team Event Final Standings

First I want to thank Jim and Debbie Tayor for their unmatched hospitality and sponsorship of this event. They are the true meaning of family. The event went something like this, Total cash payout $4,600, along with this all meals were provided, drinks and everyone's special surprise, a nice full bottle of Crown Royal on every tee pad.

I haven't posted the format yet, I had asked for some feed back from the players and haven't made my decision yet.

I think we need to have alternate shot and or some type of doubles format (6 holes best shot, 6 holes best score, 6 holes worst shot). These type of formats are the type I played at Texas teams and it promoted strategy and made it seem like a real team sport.

The only format that I have to worry about is blue or whites first. There will not be any alternate shot or doubles format. It will be total team score. I want to see how it all breaks out with the team totals when comparing to the 3700 team cap.

Dave is also considering having two team members on each card. That will help in making it feel like a real team sport and keep all involved honest...but I am sure all involved will be honest...by having two team members to a card will help in team strategy for the weaker players like myself...having someone you can discuss shot selection with, etc.

Each team member’s total strokes will be added together to determine the team total...this decision was decided long ago...here is a link to the tournament flyer.

If you aren't at least on the same card with your team mate, how is it supposed to be like a team event. You are just playing singles like we always do at every tournament.

We are playing team score but I hear what you are saying. It would def feel more like a team event if one of your team members was on your card.
