I'm trying to find a good, free site that will allow me to add a disc golf course map to a satellite map view of the park. I've seen some maps of other courses using this technique. I'm low-tech and I'm having trouble finding a good website with workable maps.
Thanks for the help.

I'm a Huge Google Earth fan... I've done overlays for a few of my favorite courses, using custom images for the tee pads and baskets, and drawing paths for the different placements... Having GPS coordinates helps immensely, but you should be able to "wing it" if the resolution for the area around your course is high enough. Printing is pretty cool as well... Example attached!

Thaks for the info, Henry. I'll check that out.
for the GPs coordinates i have noticed that dgcoursereview.com has pretty good coordinates for most of the courses. Thats how I found Mason County Park for the first time.
I usually just do it in a graphics program. Get the satellite photo from anywhere, then draw the map right onto it. Use visual landmarks (buildings, pavement, trees) to locate the tees and targets. On some satellite photos you can see the tee pads, and rarely the targets.

If I have the longitude and latitude of the tees and targets, I'll feed them to Google Earth so their approximate positions are marked. I use that as a rough guide only. Usually, the coordinates are not accurate enough for a course map. Most GPS units are accurate to 16 feet at best. If I know a tee is right next to a certain tree, I'll put it there on the course map, even if the marker in Google Earth is somewhere else.

Here are a bunch of examples. http://stevewestdiscgolf.com/coursemaps.aspx
