lose your favorite disc , then you throw par .

being back in this sport for three years now i have only thrown even twice . one was just last week , and after the round a DG buddy of mine said " i find i throw my best rounds after lossing my favorite disc . " then i remembered just two days before i had lost my favorite disc . so how much does this happen in our sport ?

I try not to establish a 'favorite' disc.  You get too attached to plastic and you won't throw it right.  When you lose a disc you're that attached to, it throws your game off.  That's why I carry multiples of everything and keep everything regular run plastic, nothing special, easy to replace.

If u lose that one disc you thought was special,it must not have been that special.I have a 10 year old dx rock,and i know exactly where its going it will wear out before i lose it.Watch me lose it tomorrow and eat my words,lol.

I have only lost two discs one I threw two drives and left it there and the other fell out of my bag before I got a disc golf bag.  i was using a duffel bag.  I will spend hours looking for a lost disc because I don't like to loose money.  I only have regular run discs so all are easily replaced.  I also have a golden retriever if I throw into water.  It has already paid for itself I will go into the water if its warm but not when its cold.

I find I play best when I am at a course I have never played at before.  I feel like I evaluate EVERY shot, instead of just going through the motions.

Same here I love playing new courses. I guess I play better on them because I'm going for the open shot and not the local routes.

I think the worst for me on lost disc. Was when I lost my goto sidewinder, it's back up, and the back ups back up. Now I'm working with fresh plastic....booooo....

I agree, my first tournament win was at a course that I had never played or even looked over.

sidewinders are in fact $! hate life every time I loose one. It is all bout playing safe with fresh plastic I seem to do just that play for par instead of a duece etc. also question if you have been back in the sport for 3 years and went once last week then the day before you lost a disc does that mean you have been back in the sport for 2 weeks>?

three years , two pars, two days before lost my flow . hawaii has no DG shop , so it takes at lest a week to get fresh plastic , went back to throwing my r-pro boss , just picked out one that wasn't to beat-up , and wasn't trying to kill every shot either . should get my flow back on monday , so this weekend my boss will be back.

R=pro Boss is myfavorite Distance Driver right now. They beat up real fast, but they're cheap and make good rollers. I have one that I have to release almost vertically and with about 50 percent power, itll fly more than 400 feet and land straight with no hyzer. Keep 3 of them in my bag right now.
