Lost Discs

I went out and played a 9 hole round today and found a Ti Buzzz just in the woods.  I looked and it had a name and phone number in it.  I called and met up with the guy and gave him his disc back.

Have you ever found a disc out on a course? Did you call and return it?

Always return discs! Even unmarked discs I try to return.

I didn't see the name and number at first so I asked the two guys that were playing ahead of me.  I got home, saw the number and called the guy.

yes I have and yes on return (no charge) , someone found my disc and the person wanted me to buy back it

Wow, I never would've thought to charge someone for finding their disc.  That's pretty messed up.

no I told him to  stick it up his a##  ---- maybe I  should of cheaper then a new one but he pissed me off

Yeah, that would've pissed me off too.  I probably would have told him off.  What a jerk.

Yes. What a simple process. It's so easy to do and it helps the individual who lost the disc so much. I don't know how many times I have lost my mind over a lost/left disc that I had spent countless hours learning and breaking in.

I just always felt like its good karma to try and find the owner of a lost disc.  Hopefully if I ever lose/leave a disc someone will be kind enough to call me and give it back.

i once found a disc on my local course and it had a name and number on it...i called multiple times and no answer...left at least 4 voicemails...finally one day a woman from that number called me to ask why i was calling this phone so often...i told her the story and it turns out her husband was on a tour of duty in iraq...he came home and called me..we met up at the course and he was so thankful that i held onto his favorite thrower...we still play together every once and a while....this made me feel awesome!! thought i would share...:)
