My golf distance (less than 20 feet of height and a flat release) maxes out at 400 feet, consistently 375 with a destroyer. I have thrown further and my furthest throws have come with the destroyer versus my nuke and boss. Anyway I was wondering what discs ppl are throwing for max distance and your golf d for reference? Is that a different disc than your course max d disc? Also do you think I would get more distance anhyzering a destroyer or hyper flipping something like a katana?

I have a 151g Westside King in VIP/Air plastic that just never wants to land. long sweeping s-curves.

How far do you throw it? What's your confident golf d?

I'm fairly confident at 350' an arm with more snap could easily break 400-450 with it

Pretty much the same distance as You and throw a few runs of star destroyers most of the time.

Max (avg) distance, high turnover

Star and XG Boss 380-400

Star (*D) Destroyer 400-420

Prodigy Proto D4 420-440

Also I should note I had a blizzard Destroyer that Bombed for me, but it beat up to quick to keep in the bag.

Great to hear.  What do you think about the D4? What is the flight path like?

Green Proto... pretty close to my slightly used Star D Destroyers. Thrown flat it will turn over and hold a long anhyzer before coming back at the very end. Thrown with some Hyzer it will flip up and go pretty straight most of the way.

Yellow First Run... More understable, tends to flip fast and doesn't want to come back when thrown flat. With some hyzer it will do a nice long S shot.

As far as what I think about it, I don't tend to put many new disc in my bag. I try many out and very few will replace anything. The D4 went straight in the tourney bag after my first day with it. The ease of distance You can get with them is great.

My most often used Driver line up...(I use other molds as well, this is for calm day shot selection)

Distance 365+ - D4

Control Distance 330-375 - Destroyer

Short Distance 300-340 - Stalker

A disc that is flying flat is going to keep air under it longer than a disc that is on edge. That said, for useable on course distance, a disc that flips up, turns a bit, and is slow to fade will net you the most distance. Whether that is what is called for on every hole is another story.
