The societal harm that results from making drugs illegal is greater than the personal harm that results from making drugs legal. It didn't work when America made alcohol illegal (prohibition) and it isn't working while America keeps drugs illegal.

There is one small silver lining to that cloud, though. At least we are keeping lawyers employed. If lawyers had to get real jobs, the scene would be absurd. Can you imagine some fat-assed lawyer trying to figure out how to use a shovel?

Its the same as north of the border. Did you know in Canada you can kill someone get it knoked down to manslaughter be out in less than 5 yrs...get busted growing more than 5 plants your gonna do 10 WTH? De-criminalize it, a fine for say smoking a blunt in a public place, like you would get for an open beer. I believe seed banks and grow stores like they have in the netherlands would be the way to go. The goverment will to ba able to tax the industry, let people grow thier own, which takes away from street level crime.

As for lawyers and shovels, I would hate to see the hourly rate they bill for digging a ditch haaaa haaa!

lol Mark that was great! You nailed it. Mj is not the gateway the illegal guy you go to is the gate! Just think of the money they could make taxing it? and save on prosecuting people. Our country might grow up some day. Its clearly not working right now.
