The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

I am curious what others spend monthly on disc golf. Plastic, tournaments and any other dg related stuff. Plus, do you break even with your winnings. I had no idea that I spend around 100 bucks a month average and maybe rake in 25-35.

I like to buy at least one new disc a month(17-20 dollars) and the league I'm in runs me 8 dollars a month. So I guess thats about 28 dollars a month. I've won one CTP in 8 months of league. I guess on average that puts me at about 25 a month.
As long as we don't count gas. I would say I throw out around 100 on Tourneys alone. If I am having a good month then yeah I Break even or better. Haven't had to buy any plastic for a while. Around tax time I shelled out well over 5 bills in a few days. Between a practice basket, new bag, Straps and lots of new plastic. I did some damage there
The real kwestion is, How much is fun worth?
i put about $100-$150 on minis and tournys and plastic and whateverelse i need in my bag, but you cant put a price on fun
We have alot of $5 buy in leagues around here. I started with $20 and put the change in my bag. Then each week I pay for my league(s) fees with that money. Everytime I win, I put the money in that pocket. So, I have a revolving DG cash fund. Once the pocket reaches $50, I put $40 in the bank and have $10 left over (this means I better win this week or next if I want to continue playing)
I've been doing this for about 18 months and have been to the bank 3 or 4 times to make a deposit. I've also been able to play league every week since I started doing this. I've been trying to work on my game more so I haven't been using this fund to enter into tournaments (because I haven't played any this year) So, over teh last 18 month, I was able to turn $20 into 4 deposits totaling $120 - not bad income for a weekly hobby.
Last year I bought quite a few new discs. This year the only new disc that I have purchased is the Star Katana. League costs $10 per week (plus maybe $5 for beer). Gas and car expenses to get to the course cost a bit.

Last year I ended up putting some of my own money into course improvements (especially basket improvements). Maybe about $100 bucks there. All money is well spent.
yea, don't ask, it'll remind my wife.
Does one consider the extra curricular activities expsense when determining the financial outlay? i.e. Beer, sunflower seeds, jerky, cliff bars, trail mix etc...
