Not that anyone is ever disappointed to get an ace, but I was out today playing a solo round and almost hit my first ace ever and there wouldnt have even of been any witnesses. After my Buzzz bounced off the basket, I thought to myself that this would have been the worst ace ever.

Being that I have yet to get an ace this is my best story. Anyone else have any??

I have 3 aces playing by myself. Definitely wished someone was there to see em
i got an ace while having one of the worst rounds ive ever had and it had no effect on the rest of the round i barely cracked a smile my buddy was happy enough for me
All aces are satisfying...you just completed the hole in 1 Shot!!! All but 2 of my aces were solo playing... they were both satisfying!!! Both cases there were witnesses I was waiting on to clear the hole. Both were on holes I had never aced before...one was on 1 at Tuscawilla...an Ace I had been hunting for 15 years. Yeah the easiest hole on our course...it had eluded me for only so long!!! ; )~

Here's a story I told here before....

Back in the day (93)....in the time of the legendary barrels... yeah, 55 gal steel drums filled with dirt and topped off with concrete to about 75 to 80% full...chains....etc.

A friend of ours threw a shot in one day for an ace...no chains...just barrel. It was in...at least we thought!?! There was time for him to jump up and down...us to congratulate him...high fives...all that happy crap. Meanwhile, the disc was apparently circling along the inside of the rim of the barrel before popping out on the ground. That was the most unsatisfying Ace I ever saw not stay in!!! lmao!!
that would have sucked
The dude was slightly mortified at first. It was like "what the hell just happened"...deer in the headlights look.
I got one a few minutes before the 2 minute warning at a tournament in front of like 100 people. Lame.
I'm surprised no one caught my dyslexic sentence. You guys are slipping...HA!!
I have 5 aces, 2 without witnesses, 2 with a guy who didn't believe in the whole signing discs and a dollar thing... and 1 with 2 witnesses who signed but didn't know about the dollar thing and I didn't feel like pressing.

Also realize that because of my eyesight, I only actually saw 1 of the aces... the others either I couldn't see my disc or the basket, either way.
Hole 9 at Robert Morris was stolen (the basket). In replacement there is a flag, like on the back of your bicycle. I aced it. It's an ace but a very unsatisfying object ace. It didn't make as much as a chirp.
Bitter Sweet

Florida State Championships, Rockledge Fl. Back in the day.

Hole 16, Blind Hyzer Shot, heard chains, ran up the fairway to see that it stayed in,. Sweet, my first tournament ACE!!

Got to 17 tee, talking to another group. They say, " Nice shot, but your brother just aced that hole two groups ahead of you." Bitter

Knocked some of the wind out of my sails, but was glad I was splitting the Ace Fund with him.

A good day for the Lenk Brothers!!!!
The thing is, that you "almost hit" an ace is moot. Any ace is a great ace!!
The only unsatisfying ace I have is the ones that don't go in.
