The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Last year we started fixing pin positions that had gotten too low over time. We also decided to add some more positions and some of those positions can be used for 2 or more holes. We probably put in a dozen new positions last year. Have you done anything like this at your course? I feel that this has drastically improved our course since now you wont play the same course twice. Every week you will see something different. And the shared positions give so many options. Also you can put out some super long holes for league if you want. Or make everything super short. Someone won league at 16 under in doubles when it was set up all short.

It's a number so large you won't know what to call it....Google That ; )
I know right.
We only have one basket in the ground for each hole.

We have played rounds: one drive from each pad, play each disc out to completion, add up your score.

We also play rounds where the pad is chosen randomly each hole.

There are many variations we create.
Right now we have 20 holes set up....an extra basket in a Hole 16 placement creating 16X...played after 16. Another extra basket in a Hole 5 placement...playing after Hole 6 or 6X.

Having Multiple Pin Positions is great to have. Gives you options.
Only during hurricane season.
Wow, it might be nice to have a map like this that people could use during the round. That would be righteous.
Yeah, I hear ya man. New pins and pin positions definately seem to help out. Hudson Mills should really think about alternate pin positions,...kinda like what Morley does.

If that map is anywhere close to being accurate, then there a lot of over lapping fairways...some of the over lapping fairways are dependant on basket location like...3 and 4...8 and 9...9 and 10...10 and 11/12...11 and 12...12 and 10

...and other fairways that are always over lapping are......15 and 16...16 and 15/19...18 and 19...19 and 16/18...yikes!
Yes , it's nice to have different pin positions for a varity of shots !!!
Tuscawilla is always nice since the league changes the pin placements every month!
