The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

I just finished Mark Ellis' "Putting Confidence Course" and I'm a changed man.

In the beginning I was hopeless. I had tried everything I could think of, changing putters, putting with mids, marathon sessions, but nothing worked. I had no putting confidence, my putts always ended up on the ground instead of the basket.

My crisis of confidence was seeping into all aspects of my game. I was desperate to find and answer. Then I saw the videos on Discraft's website. While watching the "Putting Confidence Clinic", I noticed that Mark referred the participants to this site.

Within days of finding the putting club and signing up for the course things began to change. At first slowly and by plateaus and bounds, but it was noticeable. I was beginning to sink a few putts.

But, that's just the beginning. As a week of practice turned into two then three my confidence began to return. Everything began to change for the better. My approaches were closer. My drives seemed to have more snap and less crackle and pop. My steps were more lively. My disc bag felt lighter. I even felt younger and more vigorous, birdies started falling.

In fact, I can truthfully tell you that I'm changed and now have the confidence and skill to hit anything!

This worked really well for me last year on an individual basis. How does the putting club work? I am interested in starting a program for my disc golf club.
The club I ref'd was the Mark Ellis Putting Club which is part of Discgolfersr.us. It's located under the Members banner on the homepage. As far as setting it as a program for your club I suppose you could have them view the Putting Confidence video on the Discraft site and them join Discgolfersr.us and join the club. The role of the club is to give a place to record your daily putting. I found that it was helpful to have a way to journalize my efforts. At the end of the video Mark had the participants reconvene to discuss their experience. It seemed to mark a definite graduation point for the course. In a way I suppose that's why I sent out the silly discussion. That and I thought the kid was funny.
the kid is hilarious, for sure. I did the clinic too, at home, and did not journal my daily regime, but I did it none the less, still do, and always will. It works like a charm! I also use the same idea for my long up shots, I draw an imaginary circle around the basket and try to put myself in putting range. This helps my short game tremendously. I dont have time to do this with my putting so everyday, so I only do the upshots after a round, usually every other day.
BTW, Amen brotha!
Brother Larry,

Yes you have a witness. Amen and Amen!
Preach it Brother Larry.

Thanks to healing power of practice putting . . .

okay . . today I was out just throwing a round and having fun as my first pain free day since I broke my rib. I did a toss in as a gimmie putt from 20 feet out.

I did not think about it the putt I thought it was short and just tossed it in. I stopped and realized what I just did and measured it off. . . .

yes Brother Larry amen and amen
