The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Sooo, my wife wants to go to the beach, and I want to play disc golf on vacation.
I proposed Clearwater FLA.
Her Marriott discount gets us a $35 a night stay in Clearwater.
So, where do I play? Trying to keep it somewhat local and get the most golf as possible.
Of course quality of the course is important.
Cliff Stevens, Looks like a must play.
Please help me.
PDGA and DRCR.COM only helps a bit.
Ben,? Any Help?
Thanks in advance.

P.S.
I'm used to playing Patapsco type courses, 9236 in length.
thanks all.
P.S.S.
I only get 2 days or less to play.

Hey Moe
The best course to play while you're in Clearwater is Cliff Stephens Disc Golf Course.
This is the course Ken Climo played on when he was first starting out, You'll love it.
The next course I would recommend is Coachman Disc Golf course. It 's a mile from
Cliff Stephens. The next course I would pick would be Maximo Disc Golf Course.
There's also Taylor Lake Disc Golf Course. All really pretty courses. And while
you're here check out my Disc Golf Store. We have about 35,000 discs under one roof.
We're at www.clearwaterdiscgolfstore.com You can also print out a map from my site to
to get you around town. You can call us if you have any questions. 1 888 445 2810

BUMP, anyone else with any help?
Just did 9 days in Clearwater 4 weeks ago. Need to hit the Clearwater disc store first. You thought you knew what you needed until you get there and they have things you didnt know exsisted. All under one roof, not to mention good people like JoeG,Wendy and Scott. You need to hit up Cliff then Coachman Maximo and St. Andrews. Just confirming that which had already been said. Take your wife to pier 60 for a sunset and you get lots of brownie points. Tarpon Springs also has a nice dolphin, shelling ride at the spong-o-rama just to the right as you go into tarpon springs only last a couple hours. Have fun!
I live near there and would be willing to hook up. Nothing here with a 9000 ft length like patapsco park. Isn't that in Maryland, if so I have been there. Anyway, whenever it gets closer to the trip, look me up. Cliff,Coachman,Maximo, and St. Andrews are the must play and are all within an hour of each other.
clearwater local here, I think you should play cliff then coach in one day, and then go to maximo w/ the fam for a sunset on the water and a pretty long 18
Thanks all for the heads up, can't wait to play in da dirty south!
The only thing is getting my REVO on the plane.
Guess; I'll have to pick and choose I suppose.
I will be in touch on the next weeks, thanks in advance

and YES, I am A fan !

Another Clearwater local here. You heard where to play disc golf. Does your wife play or is she here for the beaches? Beside Clearwater Beach, which is a beautiful beach, a must see is Caladesi Island. It is voted the best beach in the United States. It's about twenty minutes from Clearwater Beach in Dunedin (happens to be down the street from St Andrews too). Also while you're on Clearwater Beach you must try one of the four Frenchy's restaurants. They have great food and great atmosphere. My favorite is the Rock Away on the North beach. Have fun while visiting. Keep throwing.
